Help

Text or voice

In a meeting you can write or speak. You can switch at any moment without breaking the conversation.

If the therapist hears itself

This is rare and happens only on some devices: the microphone picks up the therapist’s voice from the speaker. Replies may then repeat or go slightly wrong. A fix is on the way; until then, this helps.

Going back to something you said

You can change what you said. Tap your message and choose “Edit”. Everything after it disappears, and the conversation starts again from that point.

Notebook

Thoughts don’t come on schedule. Write them in the notebook when they come: what happened, what you dreamed, what you want to talk about. The therapist will read the notebook before the next meeting.

Files and photos

You can bring a file into a meeting or the notebook: a letter, a diary, a document, a photo. Tap the plus to the left of the field. The therapist will read the file and remember it.

Therapist

Therapists have different characters. You can switch therapists in settings, under “Therapist”. Everything you talked about with the previous one is kept. To go back to them, choose them again.

History and notes

Your archive on another device

Your archive opens with a login and password. If you haven’t saved your archive with a password yet, the app will offer to do it. Without a password the archive lives only on this device.

The recovery code opens the archive if you forget the password. Write it down on paper. There are no other copies of the password or the code, and they cannot be restored.

Phone app

The archive is safer in the app: a browser can erase a site’s data on its own. Voice works better there too, and you can sign in without a password, with your face or fingerprint. You can download it in settings, under “Phone app”. Sign in with the same login and password, and all your work will be there.

Appearance

In settings, under “Preferences”, you choose a light or dark theme, the paper tone and the font. The app language is changed there too. The therapist answers in whatever language you speak to it in.

Write to Epimelea

If something doesn’t work or something is missing, write. You can do it in settings, with “Write to Epimelea”, or at hello@epimelea.com. Say what happened and on which device. No one sees your conversations when you do.

This is not emergency help. If you are in danger right now, open “Helplines” in settings or call your local emergency number.
